Kyung is very nice and provide instant feedback and constantly check in on me to make sure we are okay. The space is nice and clean overall, but some cookware and dishes need replacement and better cleaning. Some sheets also need replacement. The hot tub is the highlight of thetrip. Overall we enjoy this place.

This home is a lovely place where rural meets modern and overall in a really great equipped home, where every need is met; our whole party had a good experience. I would give it the 5 stars, but there were a few things that make me give 4. First of all, I need to say that Kyung Hi, is a really great host who responded quickly to all our messages and we truly appreciated his hospitality, so thanks for that. Unfortunately, there were some ants in the bedrooms and bathrooms, which we understand that is sometimes hard to control in a home within the woods, so we already got in touch with the owner to let him know of this issue and he said that he was going to take proper action about it, so we are sure that with proper ant pesticide control, the ants will not be an issue anymore. Besides that, the property is spotless and beautiful. Kitchen is great and really well equipped; the outdoor area is wonderful, we especially enjoyed the spa and the fire pit (there are lovely comfortable chairs by the pit and wonderful wood logs in there, which gives a beautiful decor touch to the outdoor area). We really spent a wonderful time outdoors enjoying the amenities, watching fireflies, stars and listening to the wonderful wood sounds. During daytime hours we were able to see some deer, which was wonderful, we had lovely walks down the path and we were able to take some great pictures. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels to use. The washer & dryer set in the basement bedroom is really great, so if that’s important to you, you would appreciate it. Finally, if traveling with little kids or elder people that may need assistance going down stairs, I would suggest asking if a stair railing has been installed on the set of stairs that leads down to the basement/family room because there wasn’t during our stay and it made it tricky for one adult in our party to go up and down and we needed to stay alert of toddler and babies going down, because it is dangerous to have a stair without rails. Other than the little kids and older adults, it was really not a problem and we have already suggested this to the owner, so I hope he installs a railing system, so that next time everyone can fully enjoy the property, because it is a truly really great home away from home. Thank you once again Kyung Hi, we had a very good time.

This home was absolutely adorable. Perfect outdoor space! There were many common areas indoors and outdoors. It allowed all 9 of us girls to have group and alone time! The area was so nice and quiet. The hosts were so great at responding quickly every time we had a question. Theyeven left us coffee and Prosecco! 🙂 We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our girls weekend. Kyung Hi’s house has a great open kitchen and large dining area perfect for a group. The sleeping situation is great and the beds are REALLY comfortable. The outside is perfect as well with a deck with great views, grill, firepit, hottub and lawn for getting outdoors.

Rose Cottage was the perfect place for our ladies weekend. The serene location and amenities at the home were a real treat for our group. The space was very comfortable for 9 of us and allowed us to spend time in different outdoor and indoor areas together. When we let the hosts know the upstairs was uncomfortably warm upon arrival, they did not hesitate to drive an hour and half to come and put in the AC units throughout the house. We would all highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed!

This place is an absolute gem! Very picturesque and tucked away up on a hill for added privacy. 9 of us were able to comfortably sleep and hang out. The house is PACKED with kitchen amenities. We had a wonderful stay at Kyung Hi’s place. We were a group of 11, and there was room for all of us. There were a lot of nice touches that made our stay comfortable, and the home came equipped with all of the essentials for cooking (pots, pans, spices, utensils, plates, etc.) and living (extra towels, toilet paper, ample slippers!). We made use of the wood-burning indoor stove and the fire pit. We loved using the hot tub both during the day and in the evening. Brunches and dinners around the large dining room table were enjoyed by all. I highly recommend, but particularly if you are in a larger group. The ground floor has one bedroom (queen) with a full bathroom, the first floor has two bedrooms (both queens) with a full bathroom, and the second floor has two bedrooms (2 twins, 2 fulls) and a full bathroom.

11 out of 10, this home is absolutely wonderful. from the small touches—such as sticks just for roasting marshmallows placed thoughtfully near the woodburning stove and the glowing holiday lights that greeted us as we wound our way up the gravel drive past big-eyed deer—to the well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and beautifully maintained hot tub, everything about this house was perfect. kyung hi was a kind, welcoming, and communicative host. i would recommend to anyone, and hope to stay again!

This is a beautiful home in a serene setting. It is perched up high so the views are quite nice especially in the mornings. It is conveniently located to holiday mountain which is a fun family friendly and low key ski spot. Our daughter learned to ski here and loved it while the rest of the family enjoyed some snow tubing action. This home has a hot tub, a fireplace and plenty of outdoor space to hang out. Kyung was very responsive and graciously offered to ship our camera that we had forgotten! This place is offers the best of both – quiet seclusion as well as few min drive to all the regular conveniences. We highly recommend this spot which is only 1.5 hours from NYC! My family and I spent our Christmas at the Rose Cottage and it was a perfect location for our family gathering. The house was able to fit 8 of us very comfortably with plenty more beds and rooms to spare. It’s an easy drive from NYC and was easy to find. The home itself was very cozy and Kyung Hi was gracious enough to setup a Christmas Tree for us, which we were able to decorate ourselves. These nice little touches really make this place stand out above many other Airbnb’s that do just the bare minimum. The home has all the modern amenities you could ask for. Kyung Hi was a gracious host and was always responsive to our questions and quick to accommodate our stay. My family and I couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas and would definitely stay here again!!! Highly highly recommend!

The Rose Cottage was beautiful and exactly as pictured. Kyung Hi was an excellent communicator, making everything from checking-in and finding local attractions seamless and easy. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! I grew up in the area, and the location was perfect for seeing our family. The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of space. The patio with hammocks and the fire pit area were great for hanging out. The home is on top of a hill, so it’s pretty private. Very quiet, and just up the street from the Neversink River. I would definitely recommend the home–it’s just as beautiful in the pictures. Kyung was a great host!

Kyung Hi and Piotr were wonderful, communicative hosts, and our group of ten adults loved renting their Rose Hill Cottage for a lovely June weekend away from the city! The house was exactly as pictured, and check-in was seamless with the lockbox. Kyung Hi was sweet enough to leave us a bottle of prosecco and a bag of coffee to welcome our group! The backyard area was even better than pictured, honestly. We loved spending time on the picnic tables and by the fire pit. We grilled our dinner on the charcoal grill for two dinners, and the Super Walmart was a 10-minute drive for anything/everything we needed. Top floor had the two rooms with two single beds each + a full bathroom. Main floor had two queen bedrooms + a full bathroom. Loved the open kitchen and large dining area! We also loved the hammocks and cozy patio with an AMAZING view from the top of the hill. Basement/bottom floor had one queen bedroom + the extra bed near the living room space with the tv + a full bathroom. That bathroom was a little tricky to use because an outlet had been tripped prior to our arrival and clogged the toilet. But as soon as we contacted Kyung Hi, she and Piotr arrived and helped us out with the bathroom situation, and did so with a smile on their faces! They were so friendly, and we were all impressed by their hospitality even though we dragged them out on a Saturday morning! All bedrooms and bathrooms were super clean, and the towels were thoughtfully folded on the beds for us. A few of us used the hot tub, which was perfect on a cooler Saturday, and a few of us went on a nearby hike. All in all, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the home and its location. It was a perfect rental for our group, and not a single one of us had a complaint!

The Rose Cottage was perfect for our mom’s weekend getaway of 7. We needed peace and quiet, a beautiful space to relax in, enough room for 7 of us not to be on top of each other, a great kitchen to entertain and this house offered all of that and more. Kyung was very responsive and helpful right off the bat. We took her advise on the local vineyard and was not disappointed. Everything was close by enough that we never had to drive more than 20 mins away. Girls are already talking about planning the same trip for next year!

My girlfriends and I spent a gorgeous winter weekend at Kyung’s house! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and the TV room was super cozy for movie watching. There were enough rooms for us each to have our own bedroom which was so nice. The house was clean and we couldn’t get over how comfy the beds were! We loved that it was up on a hill for beautiful sunsets, and we loved the wood burning fire place. Kyung was super responsive and helpful with things about the house and area. What a beautiful place with incredible hosts. The house is spacious and on gorgeous property. There was snow on the ground the whole time we were there. It was so picturesque! We were greeted with a bottle of prosecco and passes to the local mountain which we used for tubing during our stay. These were such a nice touch – so kind and much appreciated. There was an issue with the vent in the upstairs bathroom that caused a smell but the hosts let us know about it ahead of time and assured us it was safe. We brought some candles and they did the job to hide the smell. There was also an issue with the kitchen sink drain, but the hosts came to the house twice to help out, successfully fixing it the second time. They’re extremely nice people so we enjoyed hanging out in the house with them for a bit! Overall Kyung & Piotr are extremely kind, communicative hosts and want nothing more than for you to enjoy your stay at their home. It’s easy with such a lovely place and wonderful hosts! Thank you both so much for your hospitality!

We spent a lovely weekend at Kay & Piotr’s place and we loved it! Everything was spanking clean, new and had everything we needed in the kitchen (and more!). We enjoyed the fire pit outside, the picnic tables and the BBQ grills. All the amenities were very nice and the deck, hammock, wind chimes were just super charming and adorable. They both responded very quickly and were very accommodating. The indoor fireplace was perfect as well. Lots of nice trails nearby and good restaurants. I have never been to Monticello, and I am glad I got to experience it at Kyung’s home. Upon arrival, you will see the house on top of a small hill at the end of the curvy gravel road.Although the photos of the home are spectacular online, it is 10x better in person. The kitchen has a farmhouse country vibe, alongside a beautiful table and cozy fireplace. The best part of the property is the entertaining outdoor area. Not being familiar with Monticello, I am glad we were able to utilize the backyard/firepit area and the sprawling front balcony. The home is truly a getaway. The place is SPOTLESS and the beautiful aroma in the rooms was a nice personal touch. Kyung was prompt in his response to my silly questions. 🙂 Overall, we loved and enjoyed our stay. We stayed at the Hi’s absolutely gorgeous home in August for a retreat from the city. Our group had 5 couples and we all had our own bedrooms. The house is beautiful, and the outdoor space is perfect. We spent the majority of our time hanging by the fire pit listening to music. We ate dinners on the picnic tables and relaxed on the front porch during the day. We rented a pontoon boat twenty minutes away at Swinging Bridge Reservoir and enjoyed swimming and boating. We also planned a hike to Minnewaska state park about 30-40 minutes away. Also a day trip to Bashakill vineyard! Such a great location and home. Everything we needed was there (towels, kitchen appliances, paper towels, etc.) The cleaning process was great on Sunday. Can’t wait to visit again!!

We held a small reunion for a group of 30-somethings who used to vacation in Monticello together. Everything about the Rose Cottage was amazing. As you pull up there’s a long driveway along beautiful grounds, with the house at the top of a scenic hill, giving it a cozy, private feel. The house itself is masterfully decorated, very clean, and stocked with appliances, cookware, and games. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces — a large backyard with tables and a fire pit, and a large covered porch with benches and hammocks. All rooms in the house are spacious and immaculate. We were all blown away by the work done. Communication with the hosts was wonderful. Kay messaged often asking us how our stay was going and to give tips on where to go in Monticello. She was very attentive and helpful. It made us feel very comfortable in our choice. Overall our experience at the Rose Cottage was a wonderful one. We would honestly love to stay every year, maybe even more than once!

We had a great time. We stayed with a group of adults and children and there were fun things for everyone to do. We enjoyed the fire pit and brought along a kiddie pool and the kids really enjoyed that. They were awesome at communication and even went to the lengths of picking up a guitar for the property because we forgot ours. Great house and great hosts!

Kyung and Piotr are wonderful hosts and their Rose Cottage property has everything a group could look for. From beginning to end of the AirBnB transaction, they have been informative generous and attentive, always asking if our group was ok and if there was anything we needed. All the rooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with many kinds of appliances and cookware, above all, the design and furnishing of interior was gorgeous. There is plenty to do for entertainment from TV/media to board and lawn games. The outdoor fire pit is great for relaxing and lounging around. Our group looks forward to future stays at one of Kyung and Piotr’s magnificent properties!

Our family had a wonderful time at Rose cottage. This was our second time to stay their house. The house is extremely clean, comfortable, have everything you need. Their response was really quick. We will definitely come back to this house. Thank you so much!!!
